Two cons, both in Sacramento, California, and related somehow. I want to saw that they are run by the same people, but I am not sure so I won't say it. >.<
The next Sac-Anime is in August, the 29th-31st I believe. I'm hoping to make it! Anyone else?
The next Sac-Con will be in June-- I can't make it, but I hope to go to the one in September.
Anyone been to these cons? Sac-Anime is the first(and only con) I've been to and it was really fun. It's the bigger of the two, also.

I have been wanting to go to sac-anime for a while, but it is soo close after new years and Christmas that I am broke when the event comes! and the next one is usually in august and that is too close to ani-jam!
ani-jam is closer, cheaper, and is the only con in the valley, and I gotta support the valley! and I am not attacking sac-anime!!!! I heard good things about it! I hope to go there next year, if I can money manage that is...this is just me going down the check list from my own personal view point!! I do it with most cons that fall on the same month, and price and location is usually the big thing for me!

Yeah, I agree, the timing is bad. Last year the summer one was in July which I thought was a great time-- the end of August is bad with schools beginning and the fact that there are lots of other cons earlier in August so chances are, people are out of money by the end of the month.
It's far for me too, but I think it's the closest I've got. ^^
Last year I had a lot of fun, there were some problems with security, but I think the con learned some lessons and hopefully this summer's con will be without such problems!!
But, the congoers can be great people-- I befriended a bunch of people on the forums(now the 'fan' forums) before going and they are all great friends and fun people. So, I recommend it!! Should be better then before ^^
