More updates on that contest soon to come, so stay tuned.

Hey, Rissa, granted this is considered con business, but where will the actual AMV showings be held? If it will be held where anime viewing is, you and I will need to coordinate on this.

In any event, I can be of assistance on this matter. Please contact me ASAP.

Thanks!

I hope that I can make a good AMV for the con. I've made past AMV's (my youtube username is KeybladeTrinityDance), I just can't find a really good site that has just clips of different animes that I can use. Hopefully my friends can help out. I wanna make a Higurashi no Naku Koro ni AMV, though that would be too gory, and against the rules >.>

Also please inform me on any rules that I may have missed from the main website X3

But I also hope that my friends and I can make it all the way to Fresno, CA, and have all the money that we need by August 2nd. It'll be a five or six hour drive.

I wonder how many people are going to enter the AMV contest o.o, though I hope that I can create something cool before the due date. I have all summer to figure it all out X3

Is there still going to be an AMV competition?
The link is no longer on the web site.

This really sucks T_T, I've been workin' on mine >.>, and I have about 1/3rd of it finished. Though I guess that I'll just have to upload it on youtube like any other AMV @.@

But how come there isn't going to be an AMV contest??? Not enough people or something??? O.o

But, oh well o.o

Okay, I have been receiving letters like crazy, so if you still want to have your AMV's viewed, I will be taking them still and taking some time out of the LIVE ACTION room to show them, and I will have a prize set up somehow, lol. We were actually going to pull the plug on it since we hadnt heard anything back from our host but we dont want to dissapoint anyone and would like to make it a bigger attraction in years to come so please have it hosted somewhere and mail me the link, here is my email, post in the subject line : ENTRY FOR AMV SHOWING : if it doesnt say that I will probably miss it so please remember to write that in the subject line. My email is
jamesmun0z@yahoo.com ( the 0 in my last name is a zero ).

Sorry for the mis-communication, it wont happen again.

I will schedule it in on saturday evening so please take note, actual time could change but hopefully not, schedule will be available next week.
Thank you everyone for your efforts as well.

VP/Event Chair Ani-Jam

PS.. Winners and honorable mentions will be posted on our website after the event as well.

Cool, and if you're talking about Kyle Hebert you may try messaging him through his myspace page.
It looks like he recently moved houses so it might be harder to reach him vai snail mail.

I think he also uses AIM but would not want to post that info on here.
But it is on his web site www.kylehebert.com/contact.php

I'll have to edit one of the AMV's that I have already made, since I thought that the AMV contest was a no-go o.o, but I'll try to have mine in before the time if the convention^^ (If I can that is @.@)

An additional note about AMVs:

If you have not submitted yet, I ask that you PLEASE send them in a good-quality format, such as Xvid+MP3 in AVI or H.264+AAC/Vorbis/MP3 in MKV. Please make sure they will play with something like the CCCP installed so as to minimize fuss.

I understand that some entries have already been sent in YouTube form. While I have the facilities to play these, PLEASE try to send the ORIGINAL video in. We'd like to show good-quality video, and judging will be much easier with clean, clear video.

One other thing: Please, NO DVDs! The idea here is that we need to be able to show all the entries in a quick and orderly fashion. We'd rather not deal with the possilibity of misencoded DVDs, damaged DVDs due to mishandling and such.

And finally, if you are going to submit anything, please submit them no later than this Saturday, July 26th. We will not accept them any later than this date.

If you have any technical questions, please send them to me at ianj (swirlicue) fresnoanime (crumbspot) com and I will try to answer your questions.

Thanks!

I sent James a link to my AMV hosted on AMV.org
Is that the person heading the contest?
Or should I send it to another staff?
